Rockstar Games today confirmed Red Dead Redemption 2 is coming to PC this November, but only to. Who knows, though? Maybe the draw of the constantly-updated Red Dead Online will slowly grow the PC playerbase over time – but right now it's not looking so hot. Red Dead Redemption 2 will be out on Googles game-streaming Stadia servicebefore it comes to Steam. We have seen the game get price cuts across both the Epic Games Launcher and Steam, where it's currently on sale, something that we never saw for Grand Theft Auto V so soon after its PC launch. Unless Epic is willing to fork out a disgustingly large amount of money, it’s hard to see Rockstar agreeing the game continues to sell well with no signs of losing its firm berth among the Steam top 30 global best sellers.

Hitting Steam on December 5 unfortunately means that Red Dead Redemption 2 wont catch the tail end of the Steam Autumn Sale, which is now underway and runs until December 3. Rockstar Games said through its Twitter account that the game would be released on Steam on December 5th, but there were no other details to be had. On November 5th, Red Dead Redemption 2 will release on RockStars game launcher and the Epic Games Store, with the Steam version arriving one month later. However, between the Epic Games Store exclusivity and the rough state that Red Dead Redemption 2 launched in ( we couldn't even play it for the first few days), the cards weren't exactly in Rockstar's favor.Įven after Rockstar patched the game to make it playable, many users experienced problems with performance, so the game has had a rocky reputation. When Red Dead Redemption 2 was unveiled for PC, many gamers were disappointed that it wouldnt receive simultaneous PC launches on Steam, the Epic Games Store and the Rockstar Games launcher. Red Dead Redemption 2 for PC also offers HDR support, the ability to run high-end display setups with 4K resolution and beyond, multi-monitor configurations. Grand Theft Auto V had an amazing launch on PC, along with a PC port that basically showed other developers how it's done.
